How to handle stubborn people?
Stubborn atau dalam Bahasa Melayu dipanggil 'Degil'. Apa itu sifat degil? Samakah makna degil dengan peribahasa Hati Batu? (Actually nak provide pada viewers the actual meaning of degil in malay term tapi malas nak Google. Sila cari sendiri). Akan tetapi... dalam erti kata yang lain, degil itu sifat dimana orang tu refuse to change his mind about any idea or action that he is about to take. Dahla macamtu, orang degil ni juga selalunya refuse to give a clear explanation or reason for his resistance.
Kenapa some people degil/stubborn?
1) Ha, orang macam ni selalu budget pendapat dia je la betul. Apa orang lain cakap semua tak betul cehh~~~ kesimpulannya orang macam ini akan mempertahankan idea dia tu dengan bersungguh-sungguh.
2) Sometimes they feel like people asyik nak ambil kesempatan atas idea yang diberi.
3) Mungkin juga orang macam ini ada secret yang dia tak boleh reveal. Pendek kata ada agenda tersendirilah.
Stubborn people can really cut off all means of negotiation and that’s why knowing if a person is stubborn or not before talking to him can be very useful.
How to deal with stubborn people?
1) Jangan memaksa. Be flexible.
2) Try to understand the reason kenapa orang itu bersifat degil sangat nak mempertahankan idea dia tu. Encourage him to speak honestly because after all, he may have a point.
3) Every now and then make him feel that you are taking his opinions into consideration.
